I used to
have a tape of it but I'd lost it about 15 years ago. Well, I found it here
with my first click under Tartini. It was awesome. I love it.
Oh,
Simon & Garfunkel are in Los Angeles.
In just one place I've got 247 of their tracks set for continuous
uninterrupted play. Is this great, or what?
"Folks, all y'all (Texan pleural, y'all is singular!)
are incredible. My daughter's wedding was this past Saturday. She gave me all
her music to be played on a Memory Stick and my job was to fill the dance hall.
The DAK CS-1 was FLAWLESS! I used my laptop to manage her songs, and the CS-1,
Impedance Matching Ground Loop Isolating Interface, was the perfect "widget"
to get the sound out of my computer and into my Peavey Amp and speakers I use
with my band.
There was no hum, no problems, and absolutely killer sound. If anyone has any
doubts about this product, how it works, ease of installation, get rid of them!
I was thunderstruck with the performance of this product, absolutely magnificent.".

SO WHAT'S A GROUND LOOP
AND WHY DO YOU CARE?
|
Stereo systems
and computers each use multiple power cables that ultimately lead back to your
circuit breaker panel.
As you know, at your panel,
220 volts AC is split into two 110-volt legs with one common ground. Unfortunately,
in many homes, there can be differences in potential from ground to ground at
your outlets.
And it's this difference that
causes what's called a ground loop, which can cause hum,
buzz, signal distortion and system abnormalities.
Plus,
(and this is often the worst), when you connect a dialup phone line, a DSL line
or a cable modem to your computer (all of which have grounds external to your
home that you can't control) and then connect your computer to your stereo system,
a ground loop can develop.
A ground loop exists when
the two or more grounds have a slight potential difference between them.
This will produce a voltage
drop where they meet, which also can cause electrical anomalies such as hum or
buzz, signal breakup and erratic system performance.
How Do You Break the Loop?
The one sure way to eliminate
any possibility of this occurring is to break the loop. By breaking the ground
loop, the voltage difference developed across the line will be eliminated, thereby
preventing the possibility of any type of damaging electrical side effects.
You can break the loop by eliminating
external grounds. 1) Unplug all cable and phone line connections. This
eliminates the external grounds over which you have no control.
And 2) Trace the AC power
to all components (anything with a separate power cord) and run a truly equal
common ground that they all share.
Note: One ground isn't
necessarily better than another. It just that each can have a different potential.
And that's what causes the problem.
Or,
and here comes the sales pitch, you can use a Precision True Isolation
Transformer for each channel. Each must be a low distortion, linear, extended
bandwidth transformer.
And they must be completely
isolated from each other so that there's no possible grounding connection between
your PC and your Stereo.
The new DAK PC to Stereo Protected
Perfection Interface And Cable meets or exceeds these specifications and for $29.90
will give you a safe, protected instant audiophile connection of your PC to your
Stereo so you can instantly tune in all the great music you'll find streaming
on the Internet. |
OK, SO HOW DOES IT WORK?
AND WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO?
GET THE BUZZ & HUM OUT
Installation? Really
None. Just plug it in. Plug in the 3.5mm stereo plug into your sound card
where you have your speakers plugged in now.
Then plug the other end of
the PC To Stereo Protected Perfection Interface which has a 6' cable attached
with dual RCA jacks into any Line Input in your stereo system or Theater Surround
system.
Or, use the Included For
Free 10' extension cable if needed. (Extra cables are also available if your
stereo is more than 16 feet from your stereo. A total
cable length up to 36 feet is preferred.)
The all new Impedance Matching,
Ground Loop Breaking PC To Stereo Protected Perfection Interface And Cable literally
turns your PC into an awesome unlimited jukebox for your stereo system. Here's
what it does for you.
First It Solves The Impedance
Problem. Here's the problem. Your soundcard is made for you to plug-in either
headphones or amplified speakers. Its output is made to handle 4-32 ohm loads.
The inputs to your stereo
system are HZ or high level. And they're designed to handle 47,000 ohm loads.
Actually you probably already
know about headphones and speakers from buying speakers for your stereo systems
over the years. Most speakers are 4-8 ohms and headphones are now often 32 ohms.
It's
Just $29.90 - $6.95 P&H

|
So, we've built this special
interface that uses two separate Japanese precision wound transformers
to convert the 4-32 ohm speaker outputs from your sound card to the 47,000 ohm
input impedance of the Line or AUX inputs in your stereo system.
The result? It's a
perfect impedance match with no problems, no distortion, no noise, 0 THD and over
100db Signal To Noise Ratio. It's great sound with no problems from now on.
Second, It Obliterates
The Buzz, Hum & Distortion. It's called a ground loop. After you install
the interface, there will be absolutely no common ground between the ground on
the PC and the ground on the Stereo. They are totally, 100% isolated.
In fact, there will be no
common ground even between the Left and Right Channels either. You can measure
it with an ohm meter (see picture) and the result is infinite resistance, or absolutely
no connection.
Important Note: The
interface doesn't just suppress the sound of the hum and buzz, which
could cause some loss. The Interface actually prevents the hum from ever appearing.
It's like not even exposing
yourself to a disease as opposed to taking antibiotics to cure it once you've
been exposed or gotten it.
There's no potential between
grounds at all. The hum simply isn't there. Period. This is the perfect solution
to let you turn your PC into the world's most powerful musical jukebox ever devised.

Two Quick Side Questions That Everyone Asks
|
Question One. Can I
Copy All These Great Tracks And Build My Collection?
Answer. Yes you easily can copy streaming audio by using the Wave &
MP3 Recorder & editor that's we've included. But, before you do, check
to be sure that you are allowed to make copies of the broadcast you want to record.
There are limits to what you may copy and you should check.
Works On Any Windows Computer
Vista, XP.
Important:
DAK's MP3 & Wave Recorder is not intended for use in circumventing copy protection
mechanisms or for making illegal copies of copyrighted content. Just because you
have the ability to copy anything doesn't mean you should copy everything.
|
Question Two. What About
Wireless? Can I Skip The Cables?
Answer. You can use wireless broadcasters, but the regular
2.4Ghz transmitters can be subject to noise and interference and if you use a
network 802.11b, just like from the computer, you may need a ground loop cable
between its receiver and your stereo.
