First An Intro To The Service. Then The Interface
Below
For 60,70,80s classic rock you'll have dozens of choices. For classical and opera there appears to be no limit. Just pick they type of music you want to listen to and click. You'll have it right now. Now do you see what I mean about 'exactly the type of music you love? With over 7000 stations and hundreds of types of music, you're sure to find just want you want. There's just one downside. Well, sort of. There's a pay service upgrade for $3.65 per month and a free service. If you opt for the free service (which is everything I've described above and a whole lot more) they tend to inundate you with popup ads and audio ads while you listen. I hate ads, which is why I rarely listen to AM/FM radio, so I want my music without ads. That's the downside to the free service.
My take? I don't think they really care that much about the ads. I think it's just to make you sign up for the $3.65 per month mostly ad-free service. When you do. It's simply great. I have no reservations about the $3.65 service. It will blow you away. You can choose any conceivable type of music to listen to 24/7. Just click on your choice and it plays. Great! Check the list of Genre and you'll find EVERYTHING you can imagine and some you can't. The interface is pretty basic, but it works great. It's just not as slick and fancy as Winamp's or Musicmatch's interfaces which I've described on the next page. Now The Interface. It's really pretty simple to use. You just download it and you'll get the small window I've pictured above. Here's a brief description of using it. 1. This is the name of the station. Unlike what you'd see on your AM/FM radios, these stations tend to be very focused and not general interest. So, when You want to listen to Broadway musicals, just pick one of the Broadway musical stations as I have above and that's all you'll hear 24/7. Wow, this is great. 2. You'll see exactly what's playing. You don't have to guess. You'll see who and what and how long the track is. Pretty good information for free. 3. You'll also see what has played. 4. You can set the volume right from this window. It doesn't have to stay on top, just bring it back up whenever you want to see what's playing, change stations or adjust the volume. 5. This green Plus sign let's you add any station to our presets so you can instantly go back to it. Makes life really easy. With over 7,000 choices it's nice to have easy access to what you want. 6. Here's the pull down preset menu so you can go back to your favorite station(s) instantly and effortlessly. You'll really love the ability to hear just want and who you want just when you want. 7. This shows that I'm now an Ad-Free listener. I paid my $3.65 per month. Otherwise this is an ad. Plus you'll get popups and audio ads too. It's OK. And heck it's free. But, as I said, I really hate ads. I just want my music.. OK, Onward. The rest of this section is really just to give you a flavor of what you're going to be able to hear the minute you turn on Live365. It's awesome. Take a look at some of what I've found below |

| Here's another Broadway Station Right now I'm listening to "Rocky Horror
Show." What would you like to listen to? |

| Here's what one of the search pages looks like when you want to explore a
category. Here I just typed in 60s. BUT YOU CAN BE FAR MORE selective than this.
But you can see from my arrows above that there are: 1) 76 stations that match the 60s criteria. 2) You see the name of the station, an example of the songs they play, in this case every top 3 hit of the 60s, and 3) the bitrate and modulation that they are broadcasting in. FM sounds better than AM and higher bitrate provides a better broadcast. Anyway. Just tune in and see what you think. Oh and to tune in? Just click the speaker icon on the left and your player will launch and start playing the station for you instantly. |

| Here I've just selected 3 of my favorite Broadway Stations for you to see.

But, there's much more than Broadway Musicals. Here's a station that plays
nothing but Classical Guitar. Did I tell you that you had a lot of really great
choices or what? Are you getting the idea of all you can find yet? |

As long as were on Classical, here's a more traditional broadcast which simply
plays great classical music. Maybe you'll let some of these stations choose for
you. Up to you. |

| Here's part of one of the pull down menus. Look at all the choices for types
of music you have. There's much more. But I wanted you to see how easy it is and
just part of how broad your listening choices really are. |

| Well, Christmas is coming to town. But maybe you want Christmas in July. You'll
never be out of the Christmas spirit when you tune in the carols on this station.
Oh, and I've seen stations that play music from the rides at Disneyland and oh
so much more. |

| I really like Irish Folk Music. And, there's a ton of it for me and for you
on the Internet. Want other types. It's all here too. Scottish, Russian and on
and on. |

| I love Jazz too. There are other stations where you can select
just the artist you want to here. ON this station, you get a specific type of
jazz. It's all up to you. |
