Using the eBook
Drew's Using the eBook Tutorial
I've created this eBook Tutorial using the most advanced eBook engine I've ever found. This is just a short "How-To" on using some of its most powerful features. This way you won't miss any of what it can do for you.

TOC - Power Table Of Contents
This is the new TOC - Table Of Contents. Now you are just one click from every single page in the eBook Tutorial. Go exactly where you want to go, instantly.

Arrow 1.) Click this button and you'll pop the left-hand list of all pages

Arrow 2.)
Click any of these pages to instantly be where you want to be.

Power Search For What You Want To Learn.
Easy Power Search lets you find exactly what you want instantly. You can search by word, multiple words or exact phrases. It's an instant search of every single word in the entire eBook Tutorial. It's super powerful.

Let's say you enter the word Line, Or Line in or "Line In".

Arrow 1.) Type your search word, words or put exact phrases in quotes like this "exact phrase".

Arrow 2.) Click the "Go" Search Icon and you'll see the search result pages displayed to the left of the eBook. (See below.)

Arrow 3.) After you've selected the page you want to see, then click this Search The Page Icon and each searched word(s) will be highlighted on the page. Click it again to see the next instance of that word(s) on the page. When you reach the bottom, you will hear a bong. Then you can go through the page again.

Arrow 4.) For Multiple Words only, you'll see that each word is given its own search icon so you can go through a page looking at just the word you want to see.

Easy Search Results

OK this is where the search gets good. You'll be able to see the search words you want to see on just the pages that are relevant to you.

Arrow 1.) Type in your search word, words or exact phrase with quotes.

Arrow 2.) Click the Go Button.

Arrow 3.) Choose the page you want to learn from.

Arrow 4.) Click the Word Search Within The Page Button to highlight the word you are looking for. Click it again to see the next occurrence of the word on the page. When you get to the bottom, you'll get a bong. Then you can start at the top again if you wish.

Note: Boing? Sometimes you will click the Word Search Within The Page Button and get a Boing. This is because the search actually includes picture names and code that isn't visible. So just ignore these occurrences.

Arrow 5.) Here you can see the highlighted word(s) you've searched for.

Now you'll find just the section you're looking for fast and easy, every time.

Print Anything Without Backgrounds - Save Ink
Before you print, I want to share a Windows trick with you that you might not know. When you print pages from the Internet, many sites like DAK use colored backgrounds to make reading easier. But when you print the pages you can use a lot of ink, so there's a trick not to have the backgrounds print. So here's what to do.

Open your Internet Explorer.

Then:

Arrow 1.)
Go to Tools which is along the top

Arrow 2.) Choose Internet Options.

One Simple Check Box Does It
Arrow 1.) Choose the Advanced Tab.

Arrow 2.) Uncheck the Box in Printing. As you can see by the fact that Internet Explorer has this feature, it's something you'll use all the time. And however you set the background printing option in Internet Explorer will work in our Tutorial eBook too.

Print Selections Fast & Easy
New in this eBook is the ability to highlight any part of the page and print just that selection. That's not new on the Internet, but it's brand new in the eBook world.

OK, here's what you do.

Arrow 1.) Highlight the area you want to print.

Important Tip. Many of the DAK screen pictures are wider than a normal printer will handle. So, set your printer to landscape and you'll be all set.

Arrow 2.) Right click within the selected area and you'll get the above menu. Choose Print.

Arrow 3.) Your printer will display a dialog box something like this. But what's important is that you will see a radio button that will let you choose to print the selection, not the whole page.

Arrow 4.) Just Click print and you're all set.

Preview First - Then Print What You Want
The DAK electronic eBook pages can be really long. So you really don't want to print the whole 30 printed pages.
Your new eBook lets you choose which print pages you want to print.

Arrow 1.) Choose the File Menu.

Arrow 2.) Rather than choosing Print, Choose Print Preview.

Print Just What You Need. Fast And Easy
OK now we are looking at the Print Preview Tool Bar.

Arrow 1.)
Choose the page you want to print. You can type it in or

Arrow 2.) You can move page by page in either direction by using the Arrow Button. Or use the Double Headed Arrow Buttons to move to the end or the beginning.

Arrow 3.) When you have selected the page you want to print, just click the print button to print the page you want. When you get the print dialog box choose print this/current page and you're all set.

Everything else is so easy and obvious just click the buttons and enjoy.
