Digital Jukebox Breakthrough
Drew's Tune Library Jukebox Tutorial
Now your computer can be the world's greatest jukebox. Now you can listen to all the music you convert or record using DAK's all new Tune Library Jukebox. You are just a click away from every track you own. It's like channel surfing on your TV, you can jump from any track to any other track with no CDs to load. See how now.
The Tune Library Is An Added Option Of The Advanced Editor Version Only.
I love jumping through my tracks randomly. No I don't mean using random play or shuffle. I mean I jump from a Limeliters track to a Kingston Trio to a Phantom track and then onto an Oliver Track and so on. It's kind of like flipping channels on the TV. :)

I'll play Madam Librarian from The Music Man, Skimbleshanks: The Railway Cat from Cats and then Circles from the Limeliters. I'll cue one while I'm listening to the others. This was never possible with analog. I do it all the time with my iPod and my other MP3 players and now with DAK's new Tune Library jukebox, you'll want to keep all your tracks on your computer and jump through them like I do.

You can have WAV, MP3 and WMA files all mixed. It's your music. Now you can really enjoy it like never before.

AND LOOK HOW EASY IT IS TO DO. Oh yes, it's easy. Hit the File Name or Title Column Header and sort it alphabetically. Then scroll down to the Ts to get The House of the Rising Sun. I love the song and have it being song by 4 different artists. Wow.

Then sort by album and pick your favorite Oliver track. Then go back to Title and grab Green Leaves Of Summer by the Brothers Four. (It's a haunting melody.) Wow, I do this all the time and I'm enjoying my music like never before. Digital is the way to go. And my new Tune Library Jukebox really enhances the enjoyment.

Just check it out below and you'll be enjoying your music just like I am. Load a folder, several folders or lots of folders and access all your music just the way you want to and join me in this all new musical enjoyment experience.

Plus you can save playlists of the tracks the way you want. Send them to your MP3 players and much more.

OK, let's explore this great new toy, oops tool.

Tune Library Jukebox Interface
Below you'll see I've taken you through each of the power features of the Tune Library Jukebox. But in the 1st two pictures I just wanted you to get a feel for the program.

This is the main interface. It's super easy to use. You simply load tracks in the Library, send them to the active playlist and enjoy.

Arrow 1.) Choose one, several or a bunch of tracks you want to hear and click on them to send them to the active playlist above.

Arrow 2.) This is the active playlist area. You can double click any track to start it playing and it will play and then the program will go onto the next track and keep playing forever repeat playing the entire loaded active playlist.

Arrow 3.) You can click Play, Stop or Pause any time to control the music.

Below you'll see I've reproduced the menus you get when you right click in the Library or Active Playlist parts of the Tune Library Jukebox so you can see how each of the controls actually works.

But first, check out how easy it is to sort and play your tracks.

Instant Access - Instant Sort - Your way
OK, this is what I love the most. You've got instant access to every track in the library. You can sort by File Name. That's the name of the file. It can be a Wav, MP3 or WMA file. Then just scroll down and click on the track you want to send to the active playlist above.

Note: All the sorts, but File Name, are for MP3 and WMA files. Wav files only have File Names. When they were invented, nobody ever thought of tags.

Sort by Artist. It's an MP3 or WMA Tag. Say you've got 5 albums by the Limeliters. Just choose sort by artist. Then scroll down and choose the song or songs you want. That way you're only scrolling through the tracks from that artist.

Sort by Album. It's an MP3 or WMA Tag. This is very finite. You'll just be looking at the tracks from a specific album. Play one, several or all by sending them to the active playlist.

Sort by Title. It's an MP3 or WMA Tag. OK this is like File Name, but it's the MP3 or WMA tag for title. Most of the time it's the same, but not always. Just click the one you want.

Genre we don't really support. It's an MP3 or WMA Tag. It's a standard with dozens of music types and we just haven't found it reliable enough to use. If you have it, you can use it, but I don't.

Duration. It's an MP3 or WMA Tag. You can also sort by duration of the track.

In short, just sort your tracks to make it easiest for you to scroll to what you want. Then like I said above, channel surf from one track to the next by sending them up to the active playlist.

Note: once you've sent the tracks to the active playlist, you can right click it and save that list as a Playlist and just click that in the future to replay all those tracks in the same order again.

Instant Index To All The Menu Functions.
Click On The Menu Item To See The Detail
.
The Right Click Library Main Menu
The Right Click Playlist At The Top Main Menu

Select Tracks By Clicking And Dragging.
Selecting tracks in the Tune Library Jukebox is easy. Click the first track you want and if it's a few tracks just drag your cursor down and they will turn blue and be selected. If you want to select a bunch of tracks, just hold down the Shift (Capital/Upper Case key) on your keyboard and click the 1st and last tracks you want to select. Everything in between will be selected. It doesn't matter how much you scroll, even through the whole library, it will all be selected.

You select to send tracks to the Active Playlist area and for most of the Tune Library functions below.

Add A File To The Library
You can add files, whole folders of tracks and M3U playlists to the library. Then it will remember what's loaded whenever you open your Tune Library. Then just click on the files to send them to the active playlist so you can play them.

Arrow 1.) Right Click in the Library and Choose Add File to add a file.

Arrow 2.) Navigate to the Folder or location where that file is located.

Arrow 3.) Double click on the file you want to load. You'll see it appear in the File Name Box below.

Arrow 4.) Click Open.

That's all you need to do to add a single file to your Tune Library Jukebox.

Add A Folder To the Library
You can add all the tracks in a folder at once. They can be mixed formats or the same. It's fast and easy.

Arrow 1.) Right Click anywhere in the Library and then Left Click on Add - Folder.

Arrow 2.) Navigate to the folder with the tracks you want.

Arrow 3.) Click OK

This will load all the tracks in any folder. Then just grab more folders to add even more tracks.

Add A Playlist To The Library
M3U playlists are the standard Windows Playlists. You can load them and make them with DAK's Tune Library Jukebox. In short, all they are is a list of tracks in the order you want them played. We play them in that order, Windows Media Player plays them as do most other jukeboxes and players.

Arrow 1.) Right click anywhere in the Library then left click Add - Playlist to Library.

Arrow 2.) Navigate to the folder where you have the playlist stored.

Arrow 3.) Click on the playlist and it will appear in the file name box at the bottom.

Arrow 4.) Click Open.

This will load all the tracks from any playlist. Once a playlist is loaded, if you do any of the sorts, the tracks will be resorted.

Using Playlists Tip. You can also right click in the Active Playlist area at the top to directly add a playlist there for immediate play in the order of the playlist.

Clear The Entire Library.
You may have your tracks broken into several libraries if you have a lot of tracks. If you want to clear all currently loaded tracks from the Library this is what you want to use. It doesn't delete them from your hard drive, it just clears them from the Library.

Arrow 1.) Right click anywhere in the Library to CLEAR ALL TRACKS at once.

Copy Tracks To Your MP3 Player or USB Drive
Lots of times you will want to copy your library to a USB flash drive to take to another computer or to your portable MP3 player. Here's an easy way to do it. You can copy all the Library tracks without having to go from folder to folder to get them.

Arrow 1.) Right Click anywhere in the Library and then Left Click Copy - Library list to folder or media.

Arrow 2.) Navigate to the folder or MP3 player or flash drive you want to send the copy to.

Arrow 3.) Click OK.

This is the fastest way I've seen to get lots of files from different folders sent to your portables.

Tip. If you just want to send some files to your portable, send them to the active playlist, then use this same function here to send just those to your portable.

Delete/Clear Some Tracks From Your Library &
DELETE FROM YOUR HARD DRIVE.
OK above I showed you how to clear all files from the Library. Here you can just delete one, a few or lots of files from the Library. This actually deletes the file from your hard drive so it's a super way to clean up and eliminate dupes. But you do want to be careful not to delete something you want.

Arrow 1.) Left Click the file or files you want to delete.

Arrow 2.) Right Click anywhere in the Library and then left click Delete selected file(s).

DELETE IS FINAL FROM YOUR HARD DRIVE. Delete is great for cleaning up dupes and tracks you don't want from one central point in the Library. But remember it's permanent so when it removes the file(s) from your hard drive they are gone for good. So don't delete anything you may want. We've put an alert to remind you of this when you use delete.

Read And Edit MP3 ID Tags
Now you can even alter and edit the MP3 ID tags. You can add tags, you can change tags and you can shorten the really long ones that don't fit. Plus you can see the full path to where the tag is as it scrolls by continually in the tag location box, arrow 8.

Arrow 1.) Highlight the MP3 File you want to read or edit.

Arrow 2.) Right Click anywhere in the Library and choose Edit ID tag and Left Click it.

Arrow 3.) Edit The Artist Name.

Arrow 4.) Edit The Title Name.

Arrow 5.) Edt The Album Name.

Arrow 6.) Genre. You can choose a Genre, but many programs don't support it and we recommend leaving it blank.

Arrow 7.) Edit the File Name. This is the actual name of the file which is usually the same as the Title, but need not be.

Arrow 8.) This is the path to where the file is located. You'll see what folder and the path to it here. This box will continuously scroll.

Print A List Of What's Selected.
This is super useful. Be sure to spend some time here. You can select EITHER in the Library or the Active Playlist area any or all tracks. Then right click and choose Print. The difference is that in Library, the print is with the full path so you know where your files are stored. In Active Playlist, the Print is just with the File Names. You can do either or both.

But Printing is just part of it. This function lets you send the list to Notepad. And here's the big deal. I then copy the list to a master Word or Excel file and use it to keep a massive record of all my tracks. I've never actually printed the big list, but I use it all the time to see if I have a track and where it is. It's a very useful tool that I'm sure you'll use like I do.

Arrow 1.) Highlight the tracks you want to print.

Arrow 2.) Right Click anywhere in the Library and choose Print - Library.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Do the same from the Active Playlist for a printed list without paths.

Arrow 3.) This is the printed list showing all full paths to your tracks. Just hit print in Notepad to print it out, or copy it to Word for storage or saving or searching.

Arrow 4.) This is Notepad again, but this time from Active Playlist. It's the same, but without the paths. So you can have your lists with or without paths depending on if you choose print from the Library section or the Active Playlist section.

Remove Selected Files
OK, so let's see what we have. We have Clear Playlist. That clears everything. We have Delete and that actually removes the tracks not just from the Library, but actually deletes them from your hard drive. And now we have the Remove From Library. This simply removes the tracks from the active Library, not from your hard drive. You can add them again later if you like as they are just removed, not deleted.

Arrow 1.) Highlight the file or files you want to remove.

Arrow 2.) Right Click anywhere in the Library and then choose Remove - Selected and Left click to remove the selected files.

Save Playlists Of Your Favorite Tracks.
Playlists are great. Once you put tracks in an order that you like, just choose to save them as a Playlist and they will play anywhere you like. You don't need to know anything other than saving them. You can use a song in 10 playlists if you like as each will play the tracks named in whatever order you choose. It's a great tool.

Arrow 1.) Right Click anywhere in the Library and choose Save - Library as Playlist File and Left click.

Arrow 2.) Choose the folder to save the playlist in.

Arrow 3.) Type in the name of the Playlist and

Arrow 4.) Click Save.

Loading The Active Playlist, FAST.
There are two parts to the Tune Library Jukebox. There's the Library (the bottom part) and the Active Playlist (at the top). Normally you load tracks in the Library then double click to put them in the Active Playlist. Plus we have this 'Send - Selected files to playlist.' With this you can highlight a whole group of tracks and then send them all at once to the Active Playlist.

Arrow 1.) Select one or many tracks. No limit.

Arrow 2.) Right Click anywhere in the Library and choose Send - Selected Files to Playlist and Left Click.

Instant Access - Instant Sort - Your Way
This is the Active Playlist area. This is where the tracks are actually played. In short, double click a track or hit the play button to listen. Once started, the Tune Library will play continuously the Active Playlist. You can double click any track not playing to switch to that track or a track that is playing to start it over. Plus you have a full menu here to work with tracks as well.

To use any of these features, Right Click in the Active Playlist and then Left Click your choice.

Arrow 1.) Add a file to the Active Playlist that isn't in the Library.

Arrow 2.) Add a Playlist to the Active Playlist.

Arrow 3.) Clear all tracks from the Active Playlist.

Arrow 4.) Copy the current Active Playlist to an MP3 Player or Flash drive.

Arrow 5.) Print the current Active Playlist with just file names, no paths.

Arrow 6.) Remove a file from the Active Playlist.

Arrow 7.) Save the currently loaded Active Playlist as a Windows M3U playlist.

A few last things that I want to mention.

I really like the Tune Library Jukebox. I can load 100 tracks and choose what I want to listen to. There are bigger Jukeboxes, but this one is so easy to use I just had to add it to the Editor so you could listen in an organized and really enjoyable way to the tracks you've recorded on your computer. Try my channel surfing way of listening. Click tracks from different albums and just play your favorites. It's really great.
Enjoy. . . Drew
